Forgiveness…..He has shown us how it is done.
33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
This is considered a powerful expression of Jesus' compassion and forgiveness, even in the midst of his suffering, asking for mercy for those who were involved in His crucifixion. We bow low before Your most pure image, O good One, begging You to forgive us our sins, Christ our God! Matthew 18:21-22 - Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Seventy times seven is symbolic of an unlimited amount. This parable illustrates the need for unlimited forgiveness.
Morning Prayer: Grant that I may deal straightforwardly and wisely with every member of my family, neither embarrassing nor saddening anyone. O Lord, grant me the strength to endure the fatigue of the coming day and all the events that take place . Direct my will and teach me to pray, to believe, to hope, to be patient, to forgive and to love. Amen.
Matthew 6:14-15 - For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Prayer of Repentance
Lord our God, good and merciful, I acknowledge all my sins which I have committed every day of my life, in thought, word and deed; in body and soul alike. I am heartily sorry that I have ever offended thee, and I sincerely repent; with tears I humbly pray thee, O Lord: of thy mercy forgive me all my past transgressions and absolve me from them. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy Grace, to amend my way of life and to sin no more; that I may walk in the way of the righteous and offer praise and glory to the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Colossians 3:12 – Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
We express our love for our departed relatives and friends through prayer, in which we ask for the forgiveness of their sins and for their establishment in God’s Heavenly mansions. It is therefore our duty to ask God, each of us separately, and all together as one Church, to be merciful toward the sinful souls of our departed brothers and sisters.

Give rest, O Lord, to the souls of Thy servants who have fallen asleep (names), and forgive them all their sins, both voluntary and involuntary, and grant them Thy Heavenly Kingdom. . Amen.
