Remember -
We are now in the fifth week of Great Lent. Great Compline with Litiya will be on March 24, at 6:30 p.m. Vesperal Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Annunciation to the Most-Holy Theotokos will be on March 25 at 9:00 a.m. Akathist to The Theotokos will be on Friday March 26 at 6:30 p.m. Please plan to attend as many services as possible during this very holy time of the year leading to the Resurrection of our Lord.
The Sunday Mission Vespers on March 28, St. Mary of Egypt Sunday, will be at Ss Peter and Paul Church, South River. The following Sunday, April 4, Palm Sunday, the Sunday Mission Vespers will be at the Elevation of the Holy Cross Eastern Orthodox Church in Hackettstown, N.J.
On March 15, Mary Tkach celebrated her 104th birthday. Family and friends gathered together on March 14 to celebrate at her home. Congratulations and Many Years
Many years to Betty and Bob Czech who celebrated their 40th anniversary on March 14.

Father will serve an Akathist to Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 1, in Romanian and Slavonic at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who would like to hear this service in those languages are welcome to attend.
The New Jersey District of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America will sponsor a Lenten lecture on March 30, at 7:30 p.m. The lecture topic will be "Keeping an Orthodox Home with a Non-Orthodox Spouse." This lecture will be given by Dr. Peter M. Kalellis at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in South River, NJ.
Baking Bread
The Women's Club of St. John's baked bread on Saturday, March 20. The ladies got together in amiable fellowship and had a successful baking event.
Please Note: Graves at the cemetaries will be blessed on St. Thomas Sunday, April 18.
Following the Akathist service on April 2, Father will hold his religion classes. Please come and join us.
Sacrament of Holy Unction
The Sacrament of Holy Unction will be held on Wednesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. This sacrament is for parishioners of the church who have plarticipated in Confession and Holy Communion during this Lenten period. To learn more about the Sacrament of Holy Unction, click on the link below.
Lenten Confessions
If you have not been to confession yet, please remember to do so before the end of Lent. Fr. Sophrony will hear confessions before weekday services or after Saturday Vespers.

2000+ Meeting:
The next meeting of the 2000+ committee will be on Sunday, March 28 following Divine Liturgy. All Parishioners are encouraged to attend. The 2000+ meeting shall examine the state of our parish and explore strategies for promoting growth.
