St. John’s has on hand 8 large round folding tables that are not being used. They each seat 10 people. These tables are available free of charge to any Orthodox church parish in the area that can pick them up and transport them to their church. Two racks on which they are stored will also be given away with the tables. Along with the tables and the racks are tablecloths that can be used on these tables. If your church can use these items, please let us know by contacting Fr. Royer or you can e-mail your request to eczechnj@aol.com.

It is that time of the year again when we ask for your support and help. We are currently getting information concerning the seminarian families that our parish will sponsor this year. In the past, our parish has been extremely generous with both gifts and money for our seminarian families who may not be able to afford many of the items of living that we all enjoy. As soon as we receive the necessary details of each family, we will, once again, display our Christmas tree filled with gift tags containing names and sizes. Also, once again, one family will be from St. Vladimir’s Seminary and one from St. Tikhon’s Seminary. Please be on the lookout for our tree in the hall and help us make a joyful season for our two families. This project is a result of the efforts of the New Jersey District FROC (Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America).
Parish Retreat...................
A parish-wide retreat on Church Health and Growth is scheduled for Sunday, November 7, 2004. It will be under the direction of Father Jonathan Ivanoff from the OCA Department of Evangelization. It is essential that everyone attend. It will start immediately following the Divine Liturgy and fellowship hour, break for lunch and then continue. Issues that are important to every parishioner will be discussed hence keep this date reserved and attend.
At a banquet held on October 19 at St. Tikhon's Seminary, Metropolitan Herman was honored on his 40th anniversary of his ordination to the Holy Priesthood. May he continue his good works and may God Grant His Beatitude Many Years!
