Our annual parish meeting was held on February 27, 2005 following Divine Liturgy. Anna Mae Beckmann, the outgoing President of the Board of Trustees, thanked everyone for assisting her in the past four years. Bob Czech was elected the new incoming President of the Board and Greg Cahayla the new Vice President. Officers elected were Recording Secretary, Marilyn Stagen; Treasurer, Marion Nagel; Financial Secretary, Bob Czech; Cemetery Secretary, Nicholas Kovalycsik and Controllers: Peter Junda, and John Kary. Trustees elected are as follows: Helen Baron, Anna Mae Beckmann, Fred Beckmann, Genevieve Bobenko, Michael Bzik, Cathy Cahayla, Elizabeth Czech, Nancy Filak, Mary Hadginske, Edward Junda, Matthew Kary, Peggy Kovalycsik, Helen Kurnewitz, and Emil Popadics. Many topics were discussed and the meeting went well. There is no change in the dues. Midway through the meeting, a break was taken and everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch arranged by Michael and Linda Bzik. Pictures of the event are on the pictures page. God grant Many Years to all those elected.
Pardon our Appearance.......
Painting of the interior of the church has begun. Scaffolding has been placed in the nave and you have to manipulate around it when you attend church services. Father and the church board urge everyone to use care in getting around the areas. The painting project is due to take 3 to 5 weeks and will include cleaning the Iconastas as well. Hopefully the painting will progress without incident and the inconvenience will be of a limited duration. When all is done, it is expected that everyone will enjoy the beautiful church interior as a result of all the efforts in the past two years.
