This time of the year brings the need to help those less fortunate to mind although it is always important to focus on throughout the year.  At St. John’s we have always had an active pantry donation program.  Florence Junda has been our coordinator for many years and has worked closely with the pantry located at St. Peter’s Haven in Clifton.  For many years, Florence and Peter collected and donated supplies for needy families for the holidays and during the year. 

Recently Florence and Peter moved to North Carolina to be near their daughter and her family, and Helen Baron has consented to take charge of our parish food donations.  She asks for your assistance in donating the food items needed to fill Thanksgiving baskets.  Monetary donations shall also be accepted, and Helen will do the grocery shopping. 

St. John’s thanks Florence and Peter for all their work these past years in this important ministry, and we also thank Helen for stepping up to continue collecting and delivering these necessary items to those who need them.   May God grant Many Years to Florence, Peter, Helen and all those parishioners who consistently donate food and money for this vital work.
